Scope and independence
We publish educational financial tools and guides, not personalized advice or product recommendations tailored to an individual. Advertising, commercial enquiries and potential partnerships are separate from editorial conclusions. Sponsored material, if introduced, must be clearly labeled.
Research and source selection
We prioritize legislation, tax authority publications, regulators, official statistics and original research. A secondary explanation may provide context but should not replace an available primary source for a rate, threshold or legal requirement.
Sources are evaluated for jurisdiction, tax year, publication date and applicability. A general educational reference is not proof that every assumption in our model is required by law.
Fact-checking and calculator review
The Financial Content Editor checks material statements and citations. The Calculator Accuracy Reviewer checks formulas against documented examples and the relevant automated tests. The Editorial Standards Reviewer checks disclosures and consistency. These are role descriptions within ClearCalc Editorial Team, not credentials.
Review includes edge cases, units, payment timing, exclusions and whether results remain understandable when inputs are unusual. Tax constants are stored with a tax year, source references and a verification date.
Update cadence
Our editorial target is to review evergreen guides at least annually and tax-year data before publishing each new year’s pack. Material regulatory changes, a confirmed error or a broken source trigger an earlier review. These are editorial commitments, not a guarantee of real-time coverage.
Last updated records a substantive page revision. A tax pack’s Last verified date is separate: refreshing page copy does not imply that all underlying tax values were rechecked.
Corrections and reader feedback
Report an issue through Contact with the page link, the relevant passage or inputs, your expected result and a source where possible. Do not send account numbers, government identifiers or private financial documents.
We assess the report, reproduce calculation issues where possible and correct confirmed errors. Significant corrections should be described on the affected page; a minor spelling change does not require a correction notice. We aim to respond within two business days, although complex investigations can take longer.
Use of drafting tools
Any assistance used to draft or organize material does not replace editorial responsibility. Publishable claims, numerical rules and source references still require review by ClearCalc Editorial Team.
